    Default High Water again

By Monday nite sometime, Patoka will will come up 5' more to be over 10' above summer pool. Monroe by then will come up to be 6' above summer pool also. Some roads in southern Indiana are flooded so check before running. I had 5.8 inches of rain for the last 3 days total, of which 3" were from last nite and we are to get more as the weather is predicting chance of rain for the next 8 days straight. Hope they are wrong,,we don't need anymore water.

Wow, while we finally got rain that has been missing us for the last month and half. Over here in Harrison County just to the Southeast of Patoka, we only got around 2" out of all of it. You all have been getting rains up there that we have not, this was our first significant rain since the middle of April. Amazes how just 40 miles can make such a difference.

Bloomington (Monroe Res) got 3.49" Fri nite/sat. early am in one punch,,then early this morning got another .39 inches and we have been lucky to not get a drop this early am morning and so far today,,nadda also..you can have it. We don't need anymore rain as all our rivers and streams around here are flooded and so have most of the county roads too. Small creeks and streams are starting to fall,,but East Fork of the White River is coming up fast.

The Wabash river peaked at 20' Tuesday night, well over flood stage. Standing water several inches deep all over town. I had to leave work at midnight to come home and get genny running to keep pumps running in basement. Missy and Sally both way up. Fishing all but done for me for a while.

Yeah Mississinewa is almost 22 feet above summer pool now. Salamonie is worst then that. I havent fished Missy in a month and at this rate it will be a long time before i do again. I have been fishing a private pond instead. Caught some real nice black crappie (13+) 3 weeks ago but none since. Catching some nice red ears and gills now though. Looks like more storms and rain again this evening.
