    Default Spring Prep

    Hi all,

Anyone like me and so ready for Spring? Nice to see the ice retreating. Please share what some of the things you're doing to prepare. What will be the first areas to target? Lures to use? Any PM to equipment? etc...

I'm setting up jigs and rigs. Need to lube my reels (should have last season ). Anticipating warmer temps and fun fishing!

I finally got around to doing some maintenance on reels and cleaning up and re-stowing tackle. Found some nice tackle bags on sale last week so I replaced two small one's and also replaced my bassin bag. I have been looking for the right boat for two years (saving & planning) to replace my older Cajun fiberglass that lacks storage and front deck space. Going to Kentucky Monday to pick it up and go to local lake for a test run. Been told to bring my rods. Going to Illinois this morning for some bassin but the fog is too thick to leave right now. Good luck this spring and keep us updated on how it goes.

Congrats on your new boat! This week's temps are awesome!!! I'm watching the lake to see where the ice retreats first (to see where the water warms & target these areas).

Also this spring I'd like to fish for walleye & white bass. If anyone can offer help, it's very appreciated!
