Okay was at Monroe Lake today saw this pop up in about 20 ft of water. Was fishing on a tree top.All dinks btw. Does anyone know what it is????

I'd second the "stob" theory. Been a mighty long time since I heard that word.
Its some kinda of algae or something, they will float free in the water, seen 2 on Grenada yesterday.

kinda looks like the things i find here this time of year. i dont know what they are. the ones i find look like tapioca in mud pudding. like its some kind of egg sack or something. usually in balls hanging on tree limbs just under surface.
Changing my vote to fresh water sponge but not one I want to scrub my feet or floors with!

Not trying tojust remembered a post about that a couple of years ago but couldn't remember the name. Have seen those things in all the Oxbows I used to fish a lot for Green carp. Often wondered what they were and so when it got posted before it kinda stuck with me. Can't remember what i did 2 hr's ago but remember stuff like that.
