Thread: River Fishing

This stretch of river I've started fishing holds a lot of promise. I've marked multiple submerged trees and slack water areas around bridge pylons. Took the kids out for some recon the other night, but with toddlers in the boat it was not the most productive. I think that fishing tournaments would be on prime time television if they paired every pro with a toddler.

I've upped the weight on my double hook rigs by 1/4oz for spider rigging on the river and switch to 1/8 road runners. Anyone else here fish rivers for crappie and how is it different than lake fishing.
