I love it when you find the Christmas gift that keeps on giving. I know of a couple that I spotted this winter while ice fishing that were tied up on the ice. I just haven't found the time to go try them out just yet.

RiverScum & I hit the water late last night to a long ago fishin hole. Kinda slooow. Not Crappie but we did get some that were silver. Catching them in 35 f.o.w. anywhere from 20 - 30 ft down. Had 1 surprise channel cat. Fresh trout on the grill for lunch.

Nice catch. I think I know where you were at, at least I have a sneaking suspicion. Those are some great eating though. They are also a blast to catch, they start jumping everywhere when you get them to the top.

decided to switch it up again, and hit some channel cats. fished the first 2 hours of dark. i set up on the channel edge in a likely spot up in the reservoir. tossed baits up on the shallows and sat back. weather was great and fishing not too bad. it wasnt on fire but action was steady. caught maybe 10-12 and missed 1. fish ranged from 12"-28". kept 4 mids for the fryer.

    they were full of duckweed!

they still sucked up the DKs punch bait, despite being full up. mite have to go at them again tonight.

Very nice fish. However, please pardon my ignorance since there aren't any trout down here at the very bottom of the state. Are those lake trout, and are they native to your area of Indiana or are they stocked?
