The Big Lake was like glass today. Caught a three man limit in 3 hours. Going out for Crappie tomorrow afternoon.

Haven't had the kayak out yet. We were going to fish the river for steelhead until we heard that the coho were setup close to shore. Paid off. Got my crappie boat set up today to go out tomorrow. Being new to kayak fishing I'm holding off until the water is a little warmer so it won't be so bad when I flip it.

We had some spawn, but never used it. We trolled bright red, silver rainbow, and red/orange jointed crank baits.

always had my best luck using small spinners for the coho...
Roaming the banks of the Kankakee River and anywhere else fish might lurk.
