id call Daves triangle, they might be able to help, and thats gonna be the first place to put a boat in.
I was still ice fishing yesterday, if that tells you anything.
-
Yep old man Winter wins again, guess we will head to Tanner's creek
-
Thanks Hillbilly, I found out that most of East Fork is open, so we are gonna head there tomorrow to try the boat out and maybe put a few in the cooler
-
most of the lake is open, should be fine by the weekend.

I will be hitting Brookville today and will give a report on how it goes.
-
Got out on Brookville Saturday morning and it was open. A couple coves still have some ice in them but I am sure that is gone by now.
The fishing was not good but it was nice to get the boat out running and work out some kinks before going to Ky Lake in a couple weeks

on Monday I caught a bunch of big carp and one 3lb large mouth on a swimbait. everything was caught in less than 3ft of water.
-
Drifter,
What were you using? Were you back in the coves or running along side the banks? We are heading back out tomorrow
-
I have been fishing shallow water in the back of coves. I went out on fri. and caught a couple more bass, catfish, crappie and more carp. the bass and catfish I caught casting a chartreuse sassy shad on an 1/8 jig. they were mixed in with the shad and carp that are in the shallows. the carp were caught on the same jig but most were fowl hooked, but some did bite the jig because I keep it close to the bottom. they were fun on 4lb test line! I caught the crappie in 10-15ft of water in same areas on small tube jigs fished verticle. when I say shallow water I am casting to inches of water and reeling out to about 3ft of water. I probably would have done better on the bass if I would have been throwing a spinner bait in that dirty water.

today is going to be a raw spring day but I am going to hit Brookville anyway. some times the worst days can be the best.
