Monday morning cold front finally went thru and Monday the temp started out at 59. Darned copperheads came out laying in drive way to sun and warm. Killed 2-3.5 footers and a 2.5’ one and as was carrying them across county road at end of drive way in a shovel, county worker running a road grader down gravel road stopped and told me he had run over at least 20 copperheads grading gravel road. Haven’t seen a snake since then so they must have gotten used to the cool mornings. Crazy how the weather changes will affect their behavior. The big ones would strike the shovel.
