Thread: Indiana Dunes

Anybody familiar with the area? Not real particular on what area we stay. But can't seem to find anything online that looks decent for 3 or 4 days that isn't 400 a night. Everything else looks like a roach motel. And advice on lodging or things to do??

Check out Laport,,they have a few motels like Holiday Inn and couple of others,,not far as drive to Dunes is only 20-30 miles or so. Not sure about Michigan City with them having the Boat up there for gambling. Good highways from Laport as well.

Yeah, been looking all over. Don't like the idea of a motel for that many days, not seeing a whole lot of options. Maybe have to quite being cheap, LOL

Another option,,but a few more miles,,is the city of Merrilleville on I-65 as there are lots of motels there and a few more at Valparaso,,but I would think,,Laport is closest with a few there. Haven't stayed up there in ages so kind out of touch myself. Good luck in your search.
