    Default Motor Guide Xi5

I purchased a used Motor Guide 24v. Xi5 troller from somebody on FB Marketplace. Technology sure is nice, especially the Anchor feature. I have had it out once and it is the best thing since sliced bread. Holds the front end within 5 feet of the spot even in varying wind.. quiet compared to my plain old Mincota Power Drive.

Awesome! Glad your enjoying the purchase. I know my Terova was the best purchase I've made in a long time for fishing. Still fishing will never be the same. My arms and shoulders sure appreciate not having to pull an anchor anymore!

Loved my XI5 wish I would of kept it when I sold my pontoon. Have the newest Powerdrive v2 now with advanced gps, dont think Im going to like it as well as the Motorguide. Minn Kota makes you buy extra stuff to get same functions Xi5 had. Glad you like it nice trolling motors.

If you really want to lock the anchor mode to a spot, calibrate it. Once you do that, set up the offset angle on the front of your boat. You may have some both already. If you haven't a quick Google search, will show you how. All done with the remote and big motor. If you don't have any luck with the search, let me know, and I'll walk you through it on here.

Thanks DWILL. I did the 2 circle thing but I don't know if it worked, I cannot hear the "beeps" even with my hearing aids. I check out the offset angle thing. Does that help it track a line better as mine seems to wander to the right when I pick a line for the troller to head.

Yes, the offset helps with keeping your boat centered when you use the heading lock and cruise control. It also helps keeping you from drifting off your track if you have a cross wind.

The only thing I can say bad about my XI5 is that the wireless foot pedal is junk. Well mine is anyway.
