Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Banjomarsh at Evergreen. We had some great conversations, but not so great catching. I know guys...cold fronts happen. Crappie were very scattered and on a diet. At the end of the day we verbally took note of what others caught. Not good. We had the lead with only 5 crappie, 1 saugeye, and 1 bluegill. Then the day got even worse. With the boat trailered, and ready to hit the road the battery died in my Jeep. After a trip into Bloomington and a $217 purchase I was finally on my way home. Jeesh!!!
All in all, I can't really complain. Bad fishing days happen. Even to Brian Cleland. Batteries will always die at an inconvenient time. But, I caught a fish, got some fresh air, and made a new friend. I guess it was really a good day.

Sorry to read about you battery issues but on the upside it didn’t go wonky in the dead of winter. Good conversation hopefully took the sting out of the slow catching day
