Very popular recreational boater Lake. Lake is open for swimming too. With the hot water discharge I've seen water temps over 99 degrees in the middle of summer. Best to fish early am, and get off by 9:30am. Then head back out for the evening bite after 6pm. The recreational boaters are out from 10am until 5pm like clock work. The campground ramp is a zoo at 10 and 5. There are other ramps. Recreational boaters season starts Memorial Day weekend and ends Labor Day weekend.

Clinton produces nice sized Crappie and it fishes like a couple of different lakes. You can find fish in the hot water area, and you can find them in traditional areas (colder water). All depends on how you like to fish. When the win gets up the lake gets rough. It's not very wide, but long, and the waves have a long path to build.
