Learning Curve- Crankfest and such
Gents, you have a new crankbait addict lurking around the Ville. Take pity on me and be gentle please...
In short, I moved down to the area a year or so ago and have enjoyed learning the lake. I mostly fish the east arm, and spend most of my time chasing whites with the kids in the afternoons. The walleye/sauger bite was fun while it lasted, and the spring crappie fishing was honestly unreal. Suddenly, I find myself wanting to drag crankbaits around, and it turns out that’s pretty fun too
I’d really like to learn from some of the gurus here. Speeds, set ups, and maybe gain a bit more understanding as to why crappie do what they do.
I’m a mediocre fisherman at best, but I’ve lucked into enough fish to learn a thing or two. I’d be happy to trade a trip or two on Lake Michigan chasing salmon next season in exchange for a crash course on crappie killing. (Licensed USCG Charter Captain).
Thanks all...
