    Default The Ville ???

I and 3 friends are headed over there next Sunday. Would like to know what ramps have courtesy docks out? We will be staying at Wolf Creek Lodge. We will fish through Wednesday and would like an Idea where to start. Shallow? Deep? North or South? How is the water level? Any help would be appreciated. Have fished there last year but at the end of April and 1st of May. Thanks for any information.

I can't help you with the fishing but you can go to this web site for water levels: RIVER AND RESERVOIR REPORT

I have had good luck from north end to mid lake kinda slow the further south you go. I have been tight lining jigs (chartreuse is my favorite) in ten foot of water. Stay back from the brush cause you will scare them out.

The lake is still at winter pool but we may get two inches of rain the next couple of days which could bring the lake up.
The temp, dock is on the ramp at Eagle Creek and the fish cleaning station was open. Be careful if you don't know
the lake at this level. I had to drag a guy off the flat by Eagle.

I got out last weekend and did pretty well. I fished from Eagle Creek north to around Coalshaft Bridge. I fished two patterns. First, I fished shallow in the coves. I focused on laydowns that were in four to six feet of water, fishing a jig under a bobber about 2 feet down. I caught a lot fish. Almost all were black crappie, with the rare White mixed in. A lot of 8-9" fish with an occasional 10"+ mixed in. Second, I fished main lake wood, either laydowns or brushpiles in 10-15' of water tightlining a jig. Didn't catch as many this way, but they were bigger whites with the vast majority being over 10".

Quick question Has the rain muddied up the North end and how much has the lake risen?

It has come up a foot. I can't imagine it not being muddy, but will check later this afternoon and post.

Yep. Pretty muddy. Looks like Lake is up more than a foot also. I got that number from a website this morning, but having gone and looked, I believe it's come up closer to two feet.
