Thread: The Best Crappie Lake in Illinois

What makes a lake the best? Most productive? Biggest fish? No limits? I have always found the best lake is the lake that I am on. All the lakes mentioned are for good reason but....

Rend, Carlyle, Egypt, Shelbyville in that order seem to get my attention. I’m not as familiar with the lakes, but I’m sure Crab/Cedar/Kincaid would all make the top of this list also.
