Thread: Bubba Blade vs Electric filet knife

    I have the Bubba Blade and it is a good knife. But I do not like it for cutting the skin side off, only because the handle is so thick I cant get the blade to lay flat across the table. A Dexter Russel, Rapala do as good a job and are less expensive and no troubles getting blade to lay flat.

    Use the American Angler, older model, for most of the work. Have a 7" Bubba Blade for
    some clean-up work.

    Either will do the job, but the Bubba takes a while to develope the skill.
    Still faster with my electric, probably because I haven't cleaned as many with the Bubba.
