[QUOTE=clfarms1;3398593]Just so everyone knows, the comments about my wood and my cart hits a raw nerve with me. I have listened to it for the last couple of years and frankly I am kind of tired of it, I have given subtle hints in the past but that hasn't seemed to work so it is time to be more direct. I would appreciate if they would stop, and if they don't someone else can take care of organizing camp with Bowhunter and find a place to host it at. Sorry for the rant, but to anyone that hasn't done anything like this it is time consuming setting things up, getting prizes, and everything else involved and then come on here and see the posts just doesn't go over with me.[/QUOTE
well said my friend
Well since you spoke your mind Steve I guess your waiting on my follow up bud. Here is Toads 2 cents.. first off the remarks on the cart and Wood are all sarcastic and most people realize it except for you. Me and Everyone attending these camps do really appreciate the effort you put forward into making these get togethers Great!! If ya want to learn anything about your lake on things that I'm fortunate to know and want to jump on my boat I can turn my 4 man into a 5 man 15 rod Rigging crappie picking Combine. I will save a spot for ya. Keep this all simple most of us are at the camp to drink, shoot the crappie and Pick each other's brains. We don't need a big formal party with fancy things. A simple cook out and burning s'mores on a hot fire would do most of us just fine. I think it would be a great idea if everyone at the camp gives a small seminar on the methods and tools that they use to catch fish on the Ville and their own water ,,from understanding their electronics to a different way to run a spider rig set up to even pushing a crank bait. Knowledge On becoming a better more productive fisherman is better for a group of fisherman other than worrying about what band that were going to have play at camp. I've heard too many people at camp over the last 3 years talk about how much they struggle on catching the fish that Shelbyville has and yet no one is helping them out and yes I'm going to talk more To them about what I've figured out or been shown over the last few years. Hope this doesn't offend too many people but it's just my 2 cents. If ya need anything you have my number and you can contact me at your will Steve. Don't let this Hit a raw nerve.
Please realize the following rule is and always has been in place, in fact it's in the second paragraph (see Site Rules at top of every page). And was agreed upon when you all signed up.
"Tongue in cheek razzing is OK only if it is obvious, and you know for fact the recipient will not take offense."
Me, I'm looking forward to spring camp. It's always a highlight of the spring.
I might be having knee surgery around then. I will have to wait and see.
I will bring you a wheel chair
If it's a scope you'll be up and walking in two days. If it's a replacement, it took me three weeks and I was back to work.
Bummer Pat. Hope it goes well. Jason is coming again this year. Bobberhead has his buddies 50 th bday party and he is fishing a tournament Hanr scheduled the same weekend. I'm sure he will be bringing his homemade wine
Doc says no surgery just injections and meds. O yeah, he says wine helps too.
Good to hear Pat. Wouldn't be the same without you.
I wouldn't miss it for the world. The best things about camp have been meeting all you gewbers and hope to meet many more. Hey Richie, I got plenty of hen of the woods mushroom to fry up this year.
I'm tired of all this BS, if I want to hear and see all this scuttlebutt I will stay home with my wife :Rofl
Well I just found out I have a wedding the same weekend of camp. I'm very upset that I won't be there with all the wonderful CDC members, I'm going to be
It takes more than 1 monkey to stop the circus.
Sorry for not responding sooner, but between my fishing buddy
not being able to make up his mind until the last minute and wondering
if my boat was going to be ready, I had to sit and wait. Well now
that things have worked themselves out, PLEASE count us (Dave
and Bill) in on the camp. We are staying at Whitetail Crossings
Cabin Village and will arrive on Friday, probably late morning.
You will be happier at Coon Creek Lodge
Thanx Wilbur, but Coon Creek is all booked! That's what I
get for waiting til the last minute. Oh well.
I see where Shelbyville is flooding due to all the rain. Are we going to be able to use 9th street pavilion?
Should be able to by then but in just a wait and see for now
9th. street entrance is barricaded closed, all pavilions are under water but one and the water is over the road to that one.
can you tell how far up it is on the pavilion
Looked like the pavilion was high and dry but the road to it is under water.
Bummer
We still have a week for the water to drop.
Got more rain last night and more today
I keep checking the forecast for next weekend and it keeps changing everytime I look
changes everyday
is there a set place for Saturday
Steve's place, the same as Friday night
where is steve's place
