Don't know about everyone else but the last couple days we found nice size crappie in 15fow with eggs running out of them, on the main part of the lake. No big fish in shallow coves. The water temp. is 64.5 and clear at point three . North end is muddy.
Caught several females already spawned out Wednesday last week and Saturday when I was down there last.![]()
Thanks Dave for the report. I caught lots of little ones spawned out already. Time for the big girls.![]()
Lets go soak a line. Pat
Yep. Fish will spawn in all depths. The clearer the water the deeper they will spawn on shelbyville if their is good deep water close by. Dirty water fish will feel lots safer in shallow water. Caught some Giants in shallow water today. I think first wave is fine as crappie24 says but it isn't all done

Was on Decatur a few Hrs last night. Caught a few crappie still in the shallows. Tux'ed up males, and females out in front of them. Females still had eggs.
Fished from the bank on the north end and managed 7 nice ones. One was about 12in and full of eggs, looked like it ate a golf ball.
