A littel help needed.
Guys my son is trying to decide whether to buy a motor guide xi or a minkota. I have a minkota with the spot lock but he has heard that the spot lock on the xi is better.
I was wondering if anyone has a motor guide with the spot lock or if you may know a dealer that would give an on the water demo. Just wanting to make a good decision the first time. Thanks Bo

The spot lock on motor guide is 10x better the. Minn Kota but if he has birds I'd stick to min Kota.

I run the Xi5 with lowrance and love it, the spot lock on it keeps me very close to my way points (keeping in mind that there is no such thing as perfect) if it sways to far in any direction I can correct it with the remote by just pressing the directional key. It will jog in any direction 5' by pressing it once. It makes a world of difference while fishing windy days. Just my experience with the motor guide I've never used the minkota so I can't speek for them.
