I have become a very big fan of braid line, able to retrieve 95% of snags by steady pull on line, (with a piece of doll rod) jig heads usually straighten then bend back with pliers. I have found that the palomar knot works best with the braid, other knots will slip. Last time out I re-spooled one pole with some Hi Vis yellow 20 # power pro only caught one fish on that pole do you think the line color has an impact on the fish? The other poles I had with have 20# power pro in moss green color, I do have 8# mono on my 12 ft dipping pole and am thinking of switching it over to 10 # braid again to improve retrieval of snags. The heavy braid does not feed well thru the very small foam floats I use on the dipping pole. Any thoughts?
