    Lucky for me it was July. I was taking to boys out I use a rope rope snapped on the eye the other end on the winch handle. Well I thought my oldest hooked it up he thought I did Off it went I off I went for a swim Always double check everything

    Ok 'prefershiners' and 'clfarms1'...some good advice on how to better stay out of the water. I will definitely be pulling up a bit from now on. Some good stories here. The video is priceless, why can't I think of things like that? Thanks all.

    I try to put the boat next to the dock. Then I can step off the dock into the boat and set it free from the trailer, while I'm in it. Tie up and park the truck. Slipped once at the boat ramp, never again, getting too old and my knees are shot. Back in the day, I could slide down a mountain in the snow, or on mine tailing rocks on my feet. Skills you learn when you live at 9,100' elevation.
