Wilbur arrived and the fish scattered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was slow with shorts getting caught and only took home 7. Had a new guy with me and with spider rigging you gotta set the HOOK! Wilbur was doing hot laps around the lake with cranks and at one point from my angle a pontoon boat was going to steal all his cranks or just get in the boat with Wilbur and give him a hug! Waiting to hear the rest of that story. Everyone reporting slow today. Started at 5am with recon and finished at 12:30. All kinds of boats throwing bobbers at every piece of wood but I did not see a lot of fishing being caught. Kinda like hunting if it was easy everyone would do it!!!

I think that guy in the pontoon was texting while driving and not watching where he was going. There was 3 in the boat and none of them seen me till I yelled.

Same thing on Banner Marsh- Shovel Lake today. Everyone I talked to at the ramp and on the lake said the same thing, Crappie disappeared. I'm okay with it, my plan today was to map the lake.

Prayers go out to the motorcyclist who ate the back end of a minivan this morning.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!

Same here. Must have been 20 boats beating the banks and every lay down in the lake. Everyone said same thing. So I went hunting. Marked a lot of fish 10' to 11' down in 12 fow. Tried vertical jigging only picked up 1. Started long line trolling and got 10 more keepers and a few small ones. Not great but fun to try something new.

That makes me feel a little better. My dad, brother and I were out at Evergreen on Friday and we only managed one small saugeye (14.5") and 2 crappie (8.5") all too small. We thought the fish were scattered as well. We spider rigged trying all sorts of depths. Better days coming I hope.

I never even marked any fish. With 65 degree water they should of been on fire. Only thing I could think is they must of all been on the bank, which I didnt try.
