I too hit Evergreen. However everyone I talked to at the ramp said they were skunked. Figured it would be a great excuse to play with my new AutoChart Pro. Pushed off the dock and fired up the '57 Johnson and let it idle while I figured out to record on my 899. Drifted 3/4 across the lake, coming up on the opposite shore and figured it out. Set it to record and headed for my favorite fishing holes to scan that area of the lake. 2 hours later I was heading back to the ramp.

Fired up the pc, and it took a few moments to figure out how to create my new lake map. Read the directions like it was code, but they were spot on. Next I was looking a a bunch of colors, then made them transparent and saw an awesome lake. Full of contour lines, humps, holes, etc. It was great. Replayed the sonar recording and saw a ton of interesting places to fish. I need to figure out how to make those spots, and figure out how to merge my previous waypoints on the new map.

I didn't even cast a line. Gave all my bait to a couple I met at the dock. They were heading out and I was heading in. Great couple and they had a beautiful Lund.

Even though I didn't catch a fish, got a little sunburn on my head, I had a great day. I did see one cove on the lake with a little ice left. Otherwise the lake was ice free.

Looking forward to Clinton Lake next weekend. Our first Crappie tournament of the year.
