Nice 'work' oh crappie swami. See any ice bergs? How was the water condition and lake level? What ramp was open?

Barrelslime.... good edit on my classifieds post haha.

Healthnspector- There was a couple places with ice that I noticed.. just east of coal shaft bridge, by the wilborn boat ramp, and some just in front of eagle creek resort. Lake is at winter pool I believe (594) and the water is clear. Whitley, Bo, and coal shaft ramps were all closed which is dumb and I don't understand why, especially coal shaft. I put in at eagle creek.

yes, they put in new docks that I think are configured wrong in direction. there is no way to get to the docks unless you want to wade thru the 50 foot of water. it's quite puzzling after you launch your boat, tie to the dock, only to discover there is no ramp to walk on back to land! your stranded. the wind blowing 10-15 and you are going to have to tie up to rebar rings at the concrete ramp.you can imagine the difficulty getting in the boat not to mention what is getting peeled on the boat. when you are down to winter pool, there is hardly any water in front of the dock. if you're in anything but a flat bottom you probably be using the trolling motor to dock at the front part of the dock. not user friendly for one person.

It is a big pain in the butt for sure. From what I know is they built the ramp one spring, we got high water, the walkway going to the dock broke off in high water, and they haven't had the funds or something to fix it back up.

Kenny- why is it that CORPS have all the ramps closed off like coal shaft, bo, wilborn, and whitley?? Frustrating.

I haven't been down there since October so I have no idea why they do anything that they do. I am sure it is frustrating. Since I am retiring again in 2 weeks I plan on spending a lot more time at our place down there this summer and I was sure hoping they would have the courtesy docks at Eagle fixed this year since it's my favorite place to launch. The last 2 years I have been wading thru knee to waist deep water on the gangway to get to the dock or the ramp. A real pain in the rear for sure.
