    Default spider rigging

Could anyone tell me where I might find reasonably priced 14-16 foot rods. All I can find are very expensive. I have 12 ft Pinnacles but was thinkin longer might be better.

What is reasonable? Grizzly jig has some fiberglass 14 2 piece made by HT that are priced around the Pinnacals. They have a really big handle and kinda heavy but they work.

Cray: Will definitely check them out. Just started spider rigging last year. I'm an old timer and found an easy way to fish. Don't know much about it but sure do like it. Thank you for the info.

You pay for what you get but the Hi tecs will work. They are large in the handle and kinda flimsy at the end. Walmart in Benton sells B&M 14 foot trollers for 49 each. That's what I use and they work perfect. I would use a couple 16 footers but just haven't bought any yet. But the 14's work great.

The only time longer is better is if you are fishing in shallow water or clear water or over the top of a set. If you are spider riggin in deeper water with a drift it really don't matter 12 footers will work just fine.

B&M's. They are worth the money for sure. X2 on the HI Teks. They will get u by.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Check out Southern Crappie Rods also. I think they are cheaper than the PSTs

I own several of the 12' PST's. I think they are too "whippy" and I've broken more tips from them than any other rod I've owned. I keep investing in the tips though. Stubborn 'ole mule I am. I did just order a couple Southern Crappie rods tonight.

Jeff, you can't beat the water with them after you lose the fish you almost had in the boat, thats why you break the tips.
