Ryan came down to celebrate Christmas and we did crab legs and Portillos chocolate cake. There is a Portillos in Dekalb and we took a road trip for the cake. It was worth the drive and gave us a chance to visit. Chasing bushy tails in the morning with the 10/22. Great weekend!
Pesce, we make quick work of them with kitchen shears and heavy scissors. We had four pair going that night. Might not be as refined as we could be, but it works great!
When you bake those legs, are they seasoned or baked just like that,i think i saw Jeff on the Deadliest catch the other night with his own pod. I'm thinking of the pan and pot i would need to buy to bake and steam them legs.
Legs $70
Pan $50
Pot $125
New stove so the pan fits $1000
All the work to get the crab meat

I've cooked them every way imaginable, and those big ones are best for us when we throw them in a big roasting pan of boiling water for a few minutes. You put them vertical for a couple minutes after to get the water out and they are fine. The best way I think to cook them is wrapped in a wet paper towel, with some fresh dill, in the microwave. You can't do that with those monster legs.
