Thread: Looking for a good trip 8-15thru 8-17 il or mo

Hey there all we just picked up a 2005 lund 1700 and are looking for a good trip for august 15, 16, and 17th for crappie in il or mo anyone have any good trips planed or ideas let us know also would love to meet up with some good fishin guys/gals so we can learn more about the better tactics

Pretty slow right now unless you like drowning minnows , might wait til fall when they pick up again. Check out Shelbyville or Evergreen (near Bloomington) Where are you located ?

I know a feller that when he isnt guiding, has been fishing with jigs, and has been catching some gooduns! but shhhh you probably dont know him!

Forjeff: look for ends of laydowns coming into the water and big brush piles using your sonar in 10-20ft of water and float minnows right over them or tight line a jig right in the middle of the thick stuff. Target findlay bridge south for the most numbers.

Shelbyville is not too bad right now, I finally got a limit Sunday morning. They are there if you can find them.
