    Default The ville 6-14

Well was on the water at 5:30 a.m.Started off fishing point 6 for eyes but no luck. Headed north towards wilborn and thought I would need a ticket to get pass the trestle. Counted 6 boats around there. Fished submerged stumps on east bank 10-15' deep using purple/chartreuse tubes. A lot of Dink's but by 9:30 I had my limit of 10 over 10.

Good job Travis. Headed out now. Hopefully I'll catch one or two myself.

Birdy I caught em scattered.. Suspended and off of laydowns. Some I never felt a thump they was just on my line when I'd pull it up. Big fish went 11.

Just now hitting my first crappie spot. Found a huge white bass bust in the wind and followed them for 1.5 hours. Almost every cast was a fish. Got some cool screen shots of them that I'll post.

    Hughes,

I should have followed you. I was out there and first on the RR rocks. Another man I ran into had showed up just after 4 AM in the parking lot - I got COLD Friday night and came back to the parking lot to get warm in my Jeep till then - and he had been going good there jigging. So I tried jigging and nada. Tried minnows and very little...

So I headed south and east and hit several spots: No Name, Becket's, Party Cove, Findlay Cove and all over. The wind had picked up right at sunrise and its a pain in my boat (plus all the speed boats and the like throwing huge wakes) so I tried out of the way areas. Really did poor and realize I need more experience with Jigs and the like...
