    Does anyone eat fish from crab orchard lake? Heard some nasty stuff about lead.

    Crappie ok to eat if you can catch um. Had 4 over 10 inch out of 45 yesterday.
    Don't eat the Eagles, they have lead.

    Looks about like what we kept this weekend. Had a few decent 'gills. 3 good crappie out of about 20 that we kept. Probably pitched back 50 more that I just couldn't bring myself to put under the knife!!!

    I've eaten lots out of Crab and I'm still kickin. But, as has been stated, be ready to catch a lot of small fish- they are EVERYWHERE!

    The health threat is only a real concern if you're keeping big catfish or stripers. Fish that have fatty deposits and have lived in the lake a long time. Then the intake is supposed to be limited or avoided depending on your sex and age.

    Dang it. It seems like its get more difficult to find fresh Eagle anymore!!!!
