Wizard--This time of year the fish are very finicky. When they say the bobber is 2 ft deep they could be fishing in as shallow as 3 fow or maybe 10 fow. one thing to remember, crappie always feed UP. their eyes are positioned on the top of their head unlike a bass which is more towards the side therefore they feed down or parallel often times. If your bait is BELOW the fish, they cant eat it. Setting a cork at 2 ft deep right now and popping standing timber is a good bet. U might have to fish 100 stumps but be patient, they are on the move.
