    Default Rend was tough today

Couldn't find any keepers. Caught probably 50 dinks and 2 fish about 9.5 inches. Weather was perfect to bad the catching wasn't. Anyone do any good today on rend or Egypt?

    Montanaboy,

im taking my wife and kids there tomorrow and Sunday just to catch some crappie any size really. Do you mind giving a guy some info on how u were catching them. I planned on using minnows. Just not sure where to start. Thanks in advance.

I fished Lou Yeager yesterday with same results. 1 keeper bunch of drinks. I'm blaming east wind.

Egypt was tough too. A few hundred bass boats didn't help either. Cold muddy 57 to 62*

    slaphappy,

I apologize. I just now read your Post. This is obviously too late.....What I was doing was jigs at 11 to 13 feet deep. Orange chartreuse was the best color. I tried many location on the Lake but the bridges on 154 were the best spots for me. I just read a post from one of the fishing guides on the Lake and he was catching large crappie and bunches of them. He obviously knows much more about crappie fishing and Rend than I do. Maybe next time I head over there I'll hire him and have him show me how to catch them. Then maybe I will do a little better the next time. I just keep thinking I can figure it out on my own.
