    Default Buying a boat

I posted the Ranger RT 188 thread earlier. I've stopped at Bedford sales in Morris to take a look at them. Also looked at one in the Cabelas in Hammond. Has anybody boat a boat from either of these places? Is it like buying a car from a dealership? I mean as far as haggling a final price. Or is the posted price what has to be paid? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Bought my Ranger Cherokee from Bedford's in 1996. Good price and fair to deal with. Great service.

Nothing like a car dealership, aluminum boats don't have alot of mark up. Glass boats are more like an auto's mark up.

Bought my first lund from Bedford they are good people Sam is the Ranger guy and Collin is the Lund guy they have a great service dept you should be able to haggle some but I don't think markup on boats is like cars. Bedford has great prices on accessories and fish finders they are priced the same or sometimes below Bass Pro and Cabelas. Jim Rura behind the counter is very knowledgeable about anything to do with counter sales. Las t lund bought at Hennepin since they had what I wanted in a left over model at a price way below what Bedford could get one for or else would have bought it there also they are about 40 miles closer for me. Good luck

You can haggle $1000 or $2000 but that's about it.

Lake Sara Marina in Effingham, 16 Marina in Shelbyville and Chips Marina in Sullivan are all supporter of the Illinois Crappie Camp. I would check them all out.

I seen the one at Cabelas last week, looks kinda like a Tracker. The layout was real close.I think the sign said 18 and change. I did admire the wheels on the trailer. I would get prices from all the close Dealers. You can haggle between them.

It always pays to shop. I just bought a new 2014 and ended up saving $6,000 by shopping around a little.
