I've been an avid bass and BIG catfish fisherman, but haven't really been to much into crappie..Well that all changed when i fished this winter with my dad in Florida. So needless to say i'm hooked, i'm getting all my gear ready and that's what i'm needing advice.
For spider fishing I have bought several 9' Ugly Styx GX2 spinning rods and put Zebco 11's on there, i know a lot of people use 12 footers or better and i do plan on getting 2 bass pro, or B&M trolling rods, i just like Ugly Styx for there sensitivity and you cant beat the warranty, and i they look like they could be used as jigging polls as well.
For jigging i just bought a B&M 10' jigging poll and put another zebco 11 on it.
Is there any advice or tips with these rigs that any one can give.
My main lakes to fish in Illinois are Coffeen, Otter and im going to try lake Gillespie, possibly Carlyle, if i can find a couple of good ho

Welcome.
Welcome to the board.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
Glad to have you on here, TATER.
Lets go soak a line. Pat
