    Default Ozark 10' spinning rod

Picked up a sweet 10' Ozark spinning rod @ the Arthur expo this weekend, compliments of Camo and was entertaining thoughts on a reel to pair it with? I'm a Shimano man since '85 and am not opposed to sticking with them, just wanted to throw this out there since we are still a little ways away from open water. As how I plan to use this outfit, I'll b using it to catch crappie, lots of big old heavy shouldered crappie!y

Are you casting or jigging, for jig rods in water under 20' I use the fly reel type. I'm just letting line out and feeling with my other hand. If you are jigging deep water I use a spinning reel 6920 or 6930 Pflueger President. With over 80 rods I have a setup for any situation.

I'm a Shimano user too ... love the Spirex and that quickfire release of bail. It can handle the big crappie with ease. For what it's worth.

Shimano but I am not familiar with any others because I have used Shimano so long......I love the quickfire release......use these on my bass rods with 50# test Spectra braid line....

Camo, why can't you buy Pflueger's? I just bought another 1/2 dozen.

Thanks men, I'm still deciding, I have a 1/2 dozen Shimano's due in any day from Prairie Outfitters in Charleston, but they all have rods to go on. I will go with Shimano I'm guessing unless i see something from Pflueger that changes my mind.
