Ok, here's my stupid ? for the year. The 'ville is the same as Carlyle as far as the corps. letting out water. IF the water level at Carlyle is at 445' and the lake freezes to lets say 6" thick ice. Then they drop the level to 443' as they're doing now. Will the ice lose its support and be easy to break? OR does the ice sink as the level drops? Like I said it's my dumb ? for the year!!!!!

Iv seen both take place. I really think it's a toss up but im sure more people know better than I. Iv seen some pretty crazy ice slopes from the lake dropping on shelby when its already froze. Can you say brush crusher?

The ice stays but the water drops below it, not safe.

I thinking this has to break soon and we will get some above average temps by the first of March, I'm guessing March 7th.

I knew that the way this winter was going, that starting this thread would get some results. The rest of you guys don't have anything better to do than I do. Come on warm weather.

At this rate. My guess is August 1st . Someone kill the snowman please!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Amen on May 17th! This Saturday I will be @ Arthur seperating myself from my money, no matter what old man winter does!
Most men spend their entire life fishing, without realizing its not the fish they are after!
