I got a Humminbird 598 SI/DI that I am getting used to so finding the brush piles is tough for me. So I have kept mostly to fishing the standing timber in the coves from Eagle to Coalshaft. This also keeps me out of the way of the recreational boaters. Yesterday I got out from noon to seven. Wound up with 30, 7 I brought home. Every thing was on a minner. Couldn't get a bite on a jig. It could be they are too fat to move.
I saw a lot of small shad in the coves.
