Sounds about like my morning. I fished 7-1130 and had 12 keepers and maybe 10 throw backs. Could have limited but just was slow slow slow. Tough out there right now. I know some are catchin em good but I cant dial em in. Doesnt help that the lakes dropping like a rock.

We fished brush on drops...stumps on drops and tree tops it didn't matter. What I did catch they bit softer then a fly biting my ankle. I talked to a guy using minners and all he was catching was them yellow stripers and he said that was it. I know it'll get better soon..I think we are in for one helluva fall bite.

Im not sold on numbers for fall yet. But I think the size should be good. I was using minnows. Caught my fish submerged laydowns coming out into the channel with big branches.

I fished Lithia too this morning and caught 5 overs and 5 big unders, 1-14" green carp and lots of dinks. I had better luck using minners from hook it baits but when I ran out of the I was forced to buy some from Lithia marina, they was very small and they didn't give you as many as hook it.
Lets go soak a line. Pat

I got a Humminbird 598 SI/DI that I am getting used to so finding the brush piles is tough for me. So I have kept mostly to fishing the standing timber in the coves from Eagle to Coalshaft. This also keeps me out of the way of the recreational boaters. Yesterday I got out from noon to seven. Wound up with 30, 7 I brought home. Every thing was on a minner. Couldn't get a bite on a jig. It could be they are too fat to move. I saw a lot of small shad in the coves.
