    Default Shelbyville

It has been awhile since I've posted, and my first time out this year is about to happen. I guess too much work is better than not enough.
My son in law and I are headed to Shelbyville this coming Friday and Saturday. Our plans are to get on the water 4pm Friday night out of Eagle Creek and fish the laydowns and coves in that area. The back up is to work out of Bo Woods towards the Finlay bridge. then work it again Saturday morning.
Perhaps some one can confirm this plan of attack or steer me in a better direction. btw we will be coming down from the Joliet area. Thaks in advance for any advice or confirmations

Sounds like a plan that will catch fish! One thing is to watch the weather. Could be 80 tomorrow and Tuesday, but Friday a big cold front comes through dropping the temps to highs in the lower to mid 50's. could slow things down. Hard to tell.

Tough to plan a trip a week out this time of the year... Could always head south from Eagle creek and pull a Lindy rig hoping for walleyes if that happens, though crappie are more fun and productive on a short trip ... if conditions cooperate. Thanks for the confirmation of the plan.. and the weather update as well...

If things stay how they are now, your plan of hitting laydowns regardless of the area is your best bet. Big weather change this weekend for sure though!

One can hope the weather misses us ... lol There are times when a man has to downsize and slow down a little bit and acknowledge the fish don't read the same books we do. Besides, my fishin' stuff has been collecting dust all spring and summer. If there isn't any lightening and the wind behaves, we're gonna give it a try. Thanks for the input
btw seen you on the I80 south section of a place I visit regularly... Good to see your input there.

Watching the front roll through and 30 degree temperature swing. Gonna be tough this weekend. Lindy rigs and walleye hunt are starting to look better all the time if the pannies don't cooperate...

Tyler, I'm thinnking coves and laydowns, probably work it from the bottom up. If those fail, perhaps backing off to the first drop and try it again, from the bottom up... If that fails. more beer and a crawler offered to the eyes..
