    Default Hey nitro owners!!!!!

I would like to know some positives and some negatives if you happen to be a nitro owner. I'm presently looking at a 2010 z7. The hull was redesigned in 2010, what Nitro calls their rapid planing system. The price of a z7 is about $10000 less than a ranger 188. They have the same motor, same sonar, but the z-7 has a bigger livewell and gas tank. The ranger has brakes and the z7 has them as an option.

I''ve had two rangers and loved them both but $10K will by a lot of gas and toys for the boat. Help me out with some suggestions, and resale won't be one of them cause I'll have it for 20 years.

I'm not a Nitro owner. I have fished out of one once. Pretty nice boat. Nitro is not Half the boat as the one your wanting to sell. Sure, it's a lot cheaper but, you get what you pay for. If you want to sacrifice Quality, to save money on gas. Then it should make a nice boat for you. If resale value means nothing to you. Then you already probably have enough money to get a boat that will last you the rest of your life. I can think of at least 3 different boats I would buy before a Nitro. Not saying I would not like to have a Brand New Nitro. Just saying For the money you would spend on a new Nitro. I would spend that same money on a ranger that may be a couple of years older.. 2010 nitro or a 2007 ranger for the same money? No brainer for me. Good luck, the way you take care of your boat, I'm sure you will be happy with what ever you decide on.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

On December 31, there is a post in the personal classified forum. Guy was wanting to sell his certificate for a new Z7? Might save a few more bucks.

Hey XXL - I am a proud owner of a 2009 Nitro Z-6. I have only had it out twice however because I got it so late in the year. I am impressed with the layout. I think I will be very happy for a long time and I am happy with the money I saved by not going with a Ranger or Triton. They are also quality products I'm sure. Just leaves more money fo enhancements and trips! Good luck - Hope to see you on the water in just a few short (hopefully warmer) weeks!!!
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

That z6 looks like a great boat for the price. I'm sure you will load it with slabs.
