Springfield is not the same as a few years ago. The new plant does not put out as warm as water and just not have seen the crappie. Yellows and whites seem to make up most of what I have seen. If it gets any amount of Co-old weather. The Spaulding ramp will be frozen again. Only a goose hole will be left.

I have a Spring Turkey permit but won't be traveling the country. Am planning a bear trip so saving time off and $$. It's a "bucket list" thing.

I am afraid to turn the bugger loose. I know I'll never catch him.

I've bass fished the lake a couple of times and did well.....never did crappie fish it though. Pretty cool lake. Just a bit far for me.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Pie Eye, are you going to shoot bear over bait or hunt with hounds? A Wisconsin buddy sent me some great bear hunting video hunting over dogs last week. If I went bear hunting, I would want to go with hounds. There have been some hounds that came from my kennels that made great bear dogs.

The turkeys are safe with me. At that time of the year, I will be jerking some perch (crappies) hopefully.
