    Default Rend Lake Results

We started fishing at 7am on Friday...we Fished the 154 bridge. Had to get off the water to empty our livewell. we had lunch and went back to the bridge only to catch more than we did in the am. we ended up with a limit plus a few. Saturday......totally differant story. WINDY!!! had to fish on the north side of the 154 bridge with very little luck. on the way down to the east side of 154 we damaged my prop....ouch! so we hobbled our way back to the ramp out in the main lake.....the water was rougher than a night in jail. We load the boat only to find that someone stole my motor mount to the trailer. we fish from the dock this morning and did better than we did saturday. well my father in law and brother in law did. All in all it was an awesome trip. Cabins were pretty sweet too. Has anyone ever fished that lake just for bluegills? if so did you have any luck? were they nice chunky gills?

Thanks I was only there once and stayed at the resort about the same price but not set up for boats no plug ins or parking near the room. Had to unplug pop machine to charge batterys.

Why don't you just stay in a motel in Mt. Vernon or Benton would be a lot cheaper?

yeah that probably would be a lot cheaper....our deal was we had 6 adults 2 toddlers and 2 infants. it was nice for us because of how many each cabin would sleep. there was also electicity outside for the boat and had a couple fish cleanin stations. I guess if u stay there by yourself it would be quite expensive. but take 110 and divide that by 5 or 6 people.
