    Default Throw'em back.

Wouldn't it be nice if people could throw back some Crappie. If you have 20 lbs of fillets in your freezer throw back those nice 12'' fish. They will grow! Just a thought. It seems like most people have a hard time throwing back Crappie.

What is your opinion if people don't have any in the freezer?

Do you ever have friends ask you for fish?

Do you know people (or do you have people who know you fish but they can't) who would love a taste?

I do throw a lot back but there are times I keep fish too. I don't like to freeze crappie I like to eat it fresh so when I want to eat fish I go catch it! When I have friends that want to eat fish they come with me and we catch them some fish! Now why don't you get off your soap box and go talk to the fish biologist and tell him how to set the limits because evidently you know way more than him.

I understand that the limit is 30 and sixty fish that includes the freezer. no different than having 3 buck in the freezer when the limit is one?

harvesting is good to a degree, is it not? If am gonna pay for guide service at different places , better believe i am coming home with some! So if you see someone taking fish , how about the ones you don't see putting fish back?

I keep my fair share of fish. I just think it would be nice if we could catch Crappie bigger than a pound and a quarter. I happen to throw back the bigguns sometimes so they can keep growing. I didn't say anything about not keeping fish. We do have a huge amount of Crappie in Rend that do need to be taken.

I think that's why lakes have limits, my dad lives on centrailia lake and you can catch crappie until you go blind, not big but 9 inches all day long and eat just the same, so I don't feel bad taking them out cuz they need to come out.

You should see my friends and other bass fisherman when I keep 3-5 LB bass, they freak out, the way I look at it is 90% of bass fisherman catch and release, so I figure I will balance it out, they go great on my george foreman grill.
