Pulling cranks ?

Very new to me so correct me if im wrong.

When people say they are pulling cranks., to me they are actually doing just that.

Im thinking small crankbaits like pond minnows ? set to a depth with either a dropshot or weight about a foot above the lure.

This is how I cover more water, but I use jigs and road runners.

I would like to try this technique so any tips would be helpful.

yes you are right manny you pull the cranks about like the jigs we use 10 pound test mono line and the bandit crank baits a x amount of line out = so mine feet down like say for the 200 series is 65ft of line out will take it down 11ft deep and so on the bandits have a chart on the back of the package try it you will like it its a lot of fun

No little bitsy pond minnow crankbaits. We pull 3/8 oz. and 1/2 oz. crankbaits like Bandit 300's. Bandit 200's. WiggleWarts, Bombers, Wally Marshall Crappie Cranks, etc. We use 10 lb. mono and we pull them anywhere from 1.6 to 2.2 MPH. We use B'n'M pro Troller rods from 8 footers to 16 footers and line counter reels so we know exactly how much line is out to control depth.
