Spider rigging tips
Gonna try my hand at spider rigging... I purchased a 4 rod spider rig holder from Bass Pro and installed it today.
I have never tried this to this extent, I have pulled a couple corks out the back set at about 6 feet with one jig on it and done ok. But where Im headed tommorow there is not much structure.
I managed to catch a few trolling in about 25 fow (probably by accident )
I just had a couple poles over the side at about 16 feey deep. But no weight at all but the jig head itself.
I rigged up 3 the poles tonight I think the right way. 3 way swivel, 3/4 oz eggsinker, barrel swivel and to leaders at about 15 inches long with jigs attached. Given me a tottal of 6 jigs on the three rods.
If I can make it to the lake before they get all tangled up will be a successful day. And maybe a couple slabs would topp it off.
I really want to focus on this technique, next week Ill be on Kentucky lake and want to be able to spider rig there. I have never been to the lake and dont know where anything is at.
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated:D
Thanks, Manny
