Man that was a long time ago.
Dad still fishes hand over hand.I do once in awhile, then I get a mell of a hess with my line and get jacked. He gets in a mess quite often and says i might have to get an outfit like you have.He still has a spoon type auger, his cuts pretty good. You don't see them very often.

I'll look for the deep holes for slabs and 10-13 fow for the gills.
Then punch a bunch of hole going back to read them with my flasher.

need some input on something thats been bothering me. Every once in a while, especially yesterday afternoon while looking for crappie i will find em but for some reason i catch only small ones, i fish mostly 30 to 35 foot of water( max depth for most lakes) but yesterday i went to a different lake and i found em in 50 ft of water , My flasher was staying lite up with small ones, i moved around but i think they followed me.

my ? is what can i do and how to i find the bigger ones, i know there is bigger ones.. Is the answerer as simple , move till you find em

Sometimes the conditions are such that the bite is tough and only little ones bite.
That's just the way it is.
Try bigger baits. Then there's always dynomite.
