    Default First safe ice


    Got out yesterday on the first safe ice here in north Idaho. 5-6" of ice on Upper Twin near Rathdrum. A few of the other small lakes are similar or close. Caught a bunch of perch and 3 crappie...... Finally we have some ice...

    Ever since Thanksgiving I've been wishing out loud for a normal winter, or at least some very cold stuff so I can get in some icefishing. But ya know, after what I've seen happening west of me with all the snow and ice storms I'm beginning to think I need to keep my wishes to myself. Soooooooooooooo, very quietly I'm hoping for some safe ice in Iowa south.

    No ice here. There was ice once for a week but it wasnt safe and disappeared in a week.
