Upper Red Lake near Waskish Mn has had skim ice as of late,but looks like 40-50's in the next few day...so should melt after those kinda days...Hey..I'll look for a few webcams so we can check daily....:D :D :D

small 10-20 acre ponds froze over, bigger lakes have ice on the edges in Northeast Minnesota. 2 years ago I was out fishing on 5" of ice on Lake Vermilion, today I could still take my boat out on it (and I might just do that since its suppose to be 55*f)
