Update- I got it back together. The piece in question is the magazine safety (proper name?), So the weapon will not fire without the magazine in. It had a slight bend to it, was moving. I bent it back, weapon appeared better.
I'm now getting this issue-
Have three magazines, all three same results.
Try some different magazines? Something else?
