John, congrats on the bow-kill. You had an itchy trigger finger on that new bow, didn't you? I see he's shed his velvet, I expect most have by now, but heard of a few velvet's killed the first week.

Haven't had a chance to even think about getting in a tree myself. Work is getting in the way of a lot of my fun! Be glad when the World Equestrian Games get over, no one is allowed to take off till they finish up. So it looks like I will not really get to hunt much till the third week of October.

Thanks everyone for the congrats. Brad if it is third week of October, then that will be a beautiful time to be in the woods and with the rut coming on,it will be a good time. Yes I had an itching finger, thought once passing on the deer but it was a short thought. I will be hunting WV,the county be hunting is bow hunting only. Lot of my family live there and they always take some big deer. I am just about 45 minutes from the border,so I 'll be hunting there alot. After getting the deer all butcher up went and grilled one of the tenderloin, boy you talking about goood. YUM!:D
