What always cracks me up is when I am fishing off a dock that's supposed to be for Boat launching and dudes with their fancy expensive rigs go by me on way out or when they come back stop and look at my bucket and are amazed I am ketchn more and bigger than they did on their trip. So definitely Lay some brush around dock but also hit those shady areas and find out when they are prone to bite. often on docks I fish sometimes don't get any or just a couple but since so close go to my cabin take a nap or eat lunch and then come back couple hours later and a covey moves in or simply decides to eat and it's KABOOM time.
so try it in multiple times or conditions especially if suns bright and overhead and getrdone. Also side dock shoot into openings as often they are thick in there and very productive.
